Four Winners in Four Mountain Creek Races

The trend continued at Mountain Creek Speedway Sunday evening as Ryan Repko became the fourth different winner in the past four races. Repko started on the outside pole, leading the first ten laps. A tense moment came on a lap 20 restart when Hayden Wise and Repko made contact on the back stretch crossing up both drivers in front of the field. Everyone gathered it back up with Repko retaining the lead while Wise lost two spots to Eli Adams and Nigel Standish. Repko survived one more restart to lead the rest of the way to victory. Nigel Standish enjoyed his best finish of the year in second, Eli Adams was third, Hayden Wise was fourth with Ryan Zima completing the top five.
The Cadet division had to be separated into two main events on the day. Wyatt Linker made a pass for the lead with two laps remaining to take the win over Anthony Pedulla and Maverick Bradshaw. Another member of the Earhhardt family notched their way into the winners column as Brylon Earnhardt, the great grandson of Dale Earnhardt picked up a career first win in the second Cadet main event of the day over Carly McDuffee and Mackenna Wilson. Slate Harrell won for the second consecutive race in the Beginner Box Stock division. Will Spencer was second, Jackson Darnell, subbing for Brexton Busch was third.
All eyes were on Karter Beattie and Liam Kane in the box stock main event. They swapped the lead several times over the course of the race with Beattie holding off some late race restarts to take down the win over Brayden Mussetter while Kane rounded out the podium.
Defending Yamaha 450 Outlaw champion, Dylan Beard led every lap of the A-main to grab his first win of the 2023 season. Mark Pollardi was second while CJ Sweatt completed the podium in third.
Wyatt Miller was the class of the field in the Intermediate division. He checked out on the rest of the pack as the battle between Spencer Bradshaw, Abby Gunter, Liam Kane subbing for Karter Beattie and Ryder Hughart heated up. Miller would driver to victory lane as Gunter, Bradshaw and Kane went three-wide for second. Gunter was second with Bradhsaw completing the podium. The next race for outlaw karts and micro sprints at Mountain Creek Speedway will be July 9th. All divisions will be back in action in their regularly scheduled program. When the track isn’t racing, it’s busy Monday through Friday with testing and practice sessions for everything from flat karts to national midgets. The track will also be available for testing and practice days throughout the year. Those wishing to reserve rental or testing days can contact Jason Queen at (828)413-6890 for details and availability.
